General

What is water delivery management software?
Water delivery management software replaces the paper notebook a jar distributor keeps by hand. JalYantra is one such app, built for Indian water jar and bottle distributors: it records every delivery, generates monthly bills automatically, tracks empty jars and deposits, and sends branded reminders to customers on WhatsApp.
Who should use a water delivery management app?
JalYantra is built for water jar distributors running anywhere from 50 to 800 or more customers. It works whether you run the route yourself or manage five delivery workers — the customer cap and worker accounts scale with the plan you choose.
Is JalYantra available on the Google Play Store?
Yes. JalYantra is live on the Google Play Store for Android. Download it free and start a 14-day trial — no card required to begin.
Which Indian languages does JalYantra support?
JalYantra's app interface runs in 6 Indian languages — Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu — and you can switch between them at any time from Settings. For WhatsApp messages to your customers, you can set the template language (Hindi, English or Gujarati) per customer.
Which cities in India does JalYantra work in?
JalYantra works anywhere in India with an internet connection. Support is most concentrated in Gujarat, Maharashtra and North India, and there are dedicated pages for 18 cities, but the app itself is available pan-India.

Pricing & billing

How much does a water jar billing app cost per month?
JalYantra has six plans: Solo ₹149/mo (100 customers), Starter ₹249/mo (250), Standard ₹399/mo (500, most popular), Growth ₹599/mo (750), Scale ₹899/mo (1,000, priority support), and Enterprise (1,000+, custom). Every plan includes a monthly allowance of WhatsApp messages. See full pricing —›
Is there a discount for paying yearly?
Yes. Pay for 12 months of JalYantra upfront and the 13th month is free. The subscription stays active for 13 full months from purchase, and the bonus month is shown clearly on your account.
Does the free trial need a credit card?
No. JalYantra's 14-day trial gives full access to every feature and needs no credit card to start. Nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends.
Is there a free water delivery app for distributors?
JalYantra does not offer a free-forever plan, and that is deliberate — free tiers in this category tend to collapse because they cannot sustain support and product work. JalYantra offers a 14-day free trial instead, then starts at ₹149 per month. If a permanently free tier is what you need, competitors such as PurePani publish one for very small routes.
Can I get a refund if the app does not suit my business?
Yes. JalYantra has a 30-day, no-questions refund. Email support@jalyantra.com within 30 days of payment and you will be refunded in full. Read the policy —›
Are there hidden charges or per-customer fees?
No. JalYantra's plan price covers the app and its monthly WhatsApp message allowance, and there is no per-customer charge. If you need more messages in a heavy month, top-up packs start at ₹59 for 250 messages and never expire. Unused plan messages roll over automatically.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?
Yes. You can change JalYantra plans at any time from inside the app. Your message rollover balance and top-up wallet carry over with you.
How do I pay for JalYantra — UPI, card or bank transfer?
JalYantra is paid by UPI or bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS). Message the team on WhatsApp or write to support@jalyantra.com, and they will share payment details and activate the plan as soon as payment is received. There is no auto-debit, and no card details are stored.

WhatsApp messaging

Will WhatsApp bills show my business name or the software company's?
Yours. Every JalYantra message carries your business name and logo. JalYantra’s own branding never appears — your customers do not see the word "JalYantra" anywhere in the conversation.
Do water delivery customers need to download anything to get their bill?
No. JalYantra sends bills, reminders and delivery updates to the same WhatsApp number your customers already use. There is no customer app, no login and nothing for them to install.
Which WhatsApp number do the bills get sent from?
Your own. JalYantra connects to your business WhatsApp number using Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API, and the setup is done with you during onboarding — it takes about 15 minutes.
Can customers reply to the WhatsApp bill messages?
Yes. Replies go straight to your own WhatsApp number and you handle the conversation with the customer directly. JalYantra does not read or store those conversations.
What is the WhatsApp Business API, and do I need a BSP?
The WhatsApp Business API is Meta's official channel for business messaging. Most tools route it through a Business Solution Provider (BSP) such as AiSensy or Wati, which charges roughly ₹1,500–₹2,499 per month plus a 10–25% per-message markup. JalYantra connects directly to Meta instead, so there is no BSP subscription and no per-message markup — typically ₹2,000–₹5,000 a month less than BSP-based tools.

Data & security

Where is my water business data stored?
JalYantra stores data on secure servers hosted in India. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+), and backups run daily.
Is my customer list safe, and do you sell customer data?
No, never. Your customer list belongs to you alone. JalYantra does not sell it, share it, or use it to advertise to anyone. See the Privacy Policy —›
Can I export my customer and delivery data?
Yes, at any time. JalYantra exports customer lists, deliveries, bills and payments to PDF or CSV from inside the app. There is no vendor lock-in.
What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?
You keep read-only access to all your JalYantra data for 90 days and can export everything during that window. After 90 days the data is permanently deleted — or sooner if you request deletion.

Switching to JalYantra

How do I move my water business from a paper notebook to an app?
The easiest path with JalYantra: download the app, add your customers starting with the 20 most active, and use Rapid Entry from day one. Within a week you will have built up enough data for the first WhatsApp bill. The team can also import your customer list for you during onboarding — write to support@jalyantra.com.
Can I migrate my data from PurePani or another water delivery app?
Yes. JalYantra migrates customer lists, balances and recent delivery history at no extra cost, on any plan including Solo. Send a CSV export from your current tool to support@jalyantra.com.
Is there a setup, onboarding or training fee?
No. JalYantra includes onboarding free with every plan, including the ₹149 Solo plan. There is no setup fee and no training fee.
